Davion Cole-Johnson wins MACJC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Davion Cole-Johnson has been named MACJC Player of the Week after a sterling pair of games for the Bulldogs.
The sophomore forward from Glen Ellyn, Ill., averaged 30.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.0 blocks in a pair of Mississippi Gulf Coast victories.
In a 79-77 win against East Central, he poured in 35 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while picking up three steals and three blocks. In a 90-83 victory at Meridian, he had 25 points and seven rebounds and also had four steals.
In his last four games, Cole-Johnson is averaging 30.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
