Gulf Coast faces Holmes again at MACJC Tourney

PERKINSTON — The official bracket for the MACJC men's basketball tournament is out, and Mississippi Gulf Coast will play Holmes at 5:30 on Tuesday in Ellisville.

The Bulldogs are 18-5, 10-4 MACJC South, while Holmes is the No. 2 team from the North, having finished 15-8, 9-3. It will be the second straight year the teams have met in the first round of the tournament. Gulf Coast won 100-88 at Fulton last year.

The tournament is being hosted by No. 8 Jones County because the Bobcats men's team won the South Division. They play North No. 4 Northwest after the Gulf Coast game.

South No. 2 Southwest opens the men's tourney Tuesday at 1 p.m. when it plays North No. 3 Itawamba. North No. 1 Northeast plays South No. 4 East Central in a game scheduled for 3.
