No. 14 MGCCC wins again

PERKINSTON — No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast won its sixth straight match Friday, blanking Holmes 9-0 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

 

The Bulldogs improved to 9-3 overall, 7-1 MACJC.

 

Travis Bell (Fr, Jackson/Calloway), John Murphy (Fr, Mobile, Ala./McGill-Toolen) and Noah Rowell (Fr, Wiggins/Stone) won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.

 

Brett Bowen (So, Oxford/Oxford) and Austin Moore (Fr, Petal/Petal) didn't drop a game in their No. 3 doubles match.

 

Gulf Coast returns to action Saturday when Itawamba visits Perkinston. Matches start at 11 a.m.
