Mississippi Gulf Coast dropped its second straight game to start the 2021 women's basketball season Thursday night, losing 60-45 at Meridian.
Alisha Tucker (Fr., McComb/McComb) was the only Bulldog in double-figures with 16 points. Aniya Saddler (Fr., Columbus/Columbus) added nine.
Tucker made four 3-pointers, including three in the first half for a Bulldogs squad that managed only 16 points in the first 20 minutes.
Meridian improved to 2-0.
Gulf Coast returns to action Monday when Copiah-Lincoln visits the Weathers-Wentzell Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
