Mississippi Gulf Coast had a player sent off in the first half, but Southwest couldn't take advantage. The Bulldogs won 1-0 in Summit on Tuesday after the Bears also had a man sent off.
Griffin Bush scored in the 42nd minute for Gulf Coast, and the Bulldogs made it stand up on the road.
The Bulldogs (9-5, 3-4 MACJC South) will clinch a playoff berth with a win Friday against Meridian. Kickoff in Perkinston is scheduled for 7 p.m.
