Lady Bulldogs want win to open South

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast aims for its first victory of the young season Friday in a huge MACJC South opener.

The Bulldogs travel to Ellisville to take on No. 14 Jones for the first meeting between the teams since the MACJC championship game last year.

Last Time Out

• The Bulldogs lost 7-0 on Saturday to Region 23 rival LSU Eunice in Perkinston.
• The Bobcats got beaten 6-1 by Holmes on Tuesday.

Previous Meeting

Jones won the state championship with a 6-1 win in Ellisville on Oct. 21, 2018. Hannah Helms (So., Southaven/Southaven) scored the opener for Gulf Coast, but the Bobcats ripped off the next six goals.
