Lewis named MACJC Pitcher of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Josh Lewis has been named MACJC Pitcher of the Week after his two-hitter helped clinch a spot in the postseason.
Lewis, a sophomore from Theodore, Ala., threw a two-hitter in a 9-1 win over East Central. He struck out nine in an eight-inning, complete game.
Lewis' 2.11 ERA ranks 13th best in the NJCAA, as well as his 13 wins. He has only one loss.
He is now eligible for selection by the NJCAA for its weekly award.
