Eight Bulldogs to play in MACJC All-Star Game

PERKINSTON – Eight Mississippi Gulf Coast football players will participate Saturday in the MACJC All-Star Game, which is being hosted by Gulf Coast at Biloxi High School.

Defensive backs Marcus Betts (Long Beach) and Da'Kevian McGee (West Harrison), wide receivers Jevon Floyd (Gulfport) and Ishmel Morrow (Ocean Springs), defensive end Joe Green (Madison Central), long snapper Austin McIntosh (D'Iberville), and offensive linemen A.J. Skinner (Vancleave) and Fiante Weir (St. Martin) will be playing once again for Chad Huff, who will be the South head coach.

Betts had 36 tackles, three sacks and a team-high four interceptions for the Bulldogs, who finished as MACJC runners-up.

Morrow led the state with 51 receptions and had 682 yards and four touchdowns, with Floyd adding 26 catches for 335 yards and a touchdown.

Green had 46 tackles and 3.5 sacks among eight tackles for loss.

McGee, McIntosh, Skinner and Weir were also contributors for Gulf Coast this year.

Saturday's game will kick off at 11:30 a.m. at Biloxi Indian Stadium.
