Former Bulldogs earn All-Conference USA honors

Two former Mississippi Gulf Coast football players earned All-Conference USA honors, the league announced Tuesday.

Former Bulldogs cornerback Jeremy Cutrer earned was named to the second team, and linebacker Cavellis Luckett was tabbed honorable mention.

Cutrer had three interceptions, broke up 13 passes and blocked two kicks. He won Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week after the Blue Raiders' 73-14 win over Charlotte, a game in which he had two picks and a fumble recovery. He also won Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a game-tying field goal attempt in MTSU's 27-24 overtime win over Marshall.

Luckett had 65 total tackles for the Blue Raiders, third best on the team. He had five tackles for loss, half a sack, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.
