Chan named MACJC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Dedoch Chan has been named MACJC Player of the Week after averaging 25.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in a pair of victories.
The freshman forward from Rochester, Minn., had 21 points and nine rebounds in an 85-80 win over Southwest. He followed that up with a double-double in an 80-66 win over Hinds.
Chan had a season-high 29 points and 15 rebounds in the game. He extended his streak of scoring 20-plus points to four in a loss at Copiah-Lincoln on Monday.
He will now be eligible for national Player of the Week honors from the NJCAA.
