Lady Bulldogs release 2016-17 schedule

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast women's basketball coach Jason Conner has released his 2016-17 schedule, which features a season-opener against Chipola, the 2015 NJCAA champions.

The Lady Bulldogs play nine non-conference games in addition to their home-and-away games against the MACJC South Division.

"I think it's a good schedule," Conner said. "The South will be challenging this year, but we're better this year, especially on the offensive end."

Gulf Coast opens against Chipola in the Lady Bears Classic in Baton Rouge on Nov. 4. Two more road games follow before the home opener Nov. 17 against Bishop State in Perkinston.
