Four different players scored for Mississippi Gulf Coast, and the Lady Bulldogs pulled away at Meridian for a 4-1 victory Sunday.
Paris Payne (Fr., Southampton England/Saints Foundation) and Chloe Fell (Fr., Bury, England/Woodhey) had a goal and an assist each. Gulf Coast improves to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in MACJC South play.
Payne scored the opener from Fell, and Kaitlyn Harwell (So., Wiggins/Stone) made it 2-0 in the 11th minute with an assist by Curissa Beatty (So., Biloxi/Biloxi).
After Meridian scored in the 25th minute, Jade Bernet (Fr., Alicante, Spain/Narrabundah) pushed the advantage back to two goals 12 minutes later with help from Hannah Helms.
Fell closed out the scoring in the second half with an assist from Payne.
Meridian falls to 3-6, 1-3.
Gulf Coast returns to action Tuesday with a non-division game at Holmes. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
