Payne named MACJC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast midfielder Paris Payne has been named MACJC Offensive Player of the Week after a big week in front of goal.
Payne, a freshman from Southampton, England, had four goals and an assist playing in two games to lead Lady Bulldogs to their wins during a 2-1 week. She recorded a hat trick in a 6-1 win over Southwest, then added a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win at Meridian.
Gulf Coast plays Holmes at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland today. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
