PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast couldn't convert its chances Wednesday in a 2-0 loss to LSU Eunice at Bary Thrash Field.
"We just couldn't find the back of the net. It's super frustrating," Gulf Coast coach Jackie Rhodes said. "We actually played really well. I thought we played well enough to win the game, but we just couldn't finish our chances."
LSU-E (2-0-1) scored in the 29th and 62nd minutes, and Gulf Coast saw a couple bars go off the crossbar and a couple of point-blank chances saved. It was the first-ever meeting between the schools.
MGCCC (1-2) returns to action Friday when Southwest visits Perkinston. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
