No. 18 MGCCC wins 5-4 at No. 17 Co-Lin
No. 18 Mississippi Gulf Coast went to No. 17 Copiah-Lincoln on Wednesday and pulled out a 5-4 victory in the Bulldogs' third match in three days.
Sam Blackburn and Brennan O'Keefe were parts of two wins apiece for Gulf Coast (11-2). Blackburn teamed with Bryan Allen to win No. 1 doubles 8-4 and won his No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-2.
O'Keefe and Noah Tippen won No. 2 doubles 8-2, and O'Keefe went on to win No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-0
Brett Bowen won his No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-0.
The Bulldogs play Meridian on Monday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex. First serve is 2 p.m. They close out the regular season Wednesday at Faulkner State before final preparations for the MACJC/Region 23 Championship, which will be played April 20-23 in Perkinston this year.
