No. 12 Men’s Tennis fall to No. 11 Coyotes
PERKINSTON — No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast dropped its first men's tennis match of the season, falling in its home opener to No. 11 Coastal Alabama-South on Monday.
Jan Bako (Fr., Ostrava, Czech Republic/Hladnov) and Warren Hudson (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) won 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.
The Bulldogs picked up two more points in singles. Angel Hernandez (Fr., Puebla, Mexico/UPAEP) cruised 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1, and Santiago Enriquez (Fr., Encarnacion, Paraguay/CEUCE) picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4.
The Coyotes are 9-4.
Gulf Coast (1-1) is right back in action Tuesday in an MACCC match. The Bulldogs host No. 16 Copiah-Lincoln, with first serves scheduled for 2 p.m.
