PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast plays ninth-ranked Itawamba needing wins down the stretch to solidify its position in the standings.
The doubleheader starts at noon at Ross-Smith Field. The games will be streamed at https://livestream.com/mgcccbulldogs/events/10340862. It's the last home doubleheader of the season.
Gulf Coast is tied for sixth, but three teams are a game back in the standings tied for eighth. Only the top eight qualify for the MACCC Tournament.

- Itawamba swept a pair of five-inning games against Coahoma on Wednesday, winning 14-5 and 17-0.
Previous Meeting
On April 18, 2021, Itawamba swept a doubleheader at Fulton, beating Gulf Coast 3-2 and 8-3.

- Kristian Jones (So., Southaven/DeSoto Central) is second in the MACCC with 54 hits. She's also third in doubles (16).
