PERKINSTON – Mississippi Gulf Coast's Nora Keehn has won MACJC Pitcher of the Week for the second week in a row.

The freshman right-hander from Vandebilt Catholic High School in Thibodaux, La., threw a no-hitter and teamed for a one-hitter in two appearances. Keehn is 7-0 with a 1.28 ERA for the No. 2 Lady Bulldogs.

She didn't allow a hit in an 11-0 win over Holmes, striking out seven in five innings. In four innings of work against Coahoma the day before, she allowed only a leadoff bunt single while striking out six.

Keehn hasn't allowed a run in her last four outings, a span of 20.1 innings. Gulf Coast (24-2, 8-2 MACJC) hasn't allowed a run in 37 innings and only one over the last 48 innings.

Gulf Coast pitchers have won the last three MACJC Pitcher of the Week awards and six of eight this season. Kaitlin Lee has won the other three awards, as well as two national weekly awards.

The Lady Bulldogs play in a showdown with national implications Tuesday, traveling to No. 5 Jones County. The doubleheader starts at 4 p.m.
