Gaughf named Gulf Coast’s first All-MACCC player
PERKINSTON — Malorie Gaughf, a rock in the middle for the first season of Mississippi Gulf Coast volleyball, is the program's first All-MACCC recipient.
The freshman from Gulfport was named to the Second Team in voting conducted by the conference's coaches. There were seven players named to the First and Second teams, as well as the Honorable Mention list.
Gaughf, a middle blocker, led the MACCC with 118 blocks, 33 more than any other player. She led the Bulldogs with 246 kills and a .314 percentage. Her hitting percentage was second-best in the conference.
The Bulldogs finished with a 16-15 record and were sixth in the MACCC with a 7-9 record under coach Shayna Walsh. They qualified for the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
