Parish named MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Duran Parish lit up scoreboards across two states last week, enough to earn MACCC Player of the Week.
The conference's sports information directors voted on the award.
Parish, a sophomore guard from Biloxi, averaged 25.0 points, 6.3 assists and 2.7 steals in three Gulf Coast wins. His big game was a 35-point outburst in an 85-82 win over Bishop State. In a 109-102 win at Coastal Alabama-South, he had 18 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals.
He also had 22 points and nine assists in a 119-75 win over the Louisiana Knights at Perk.
