Parish, Brinkley named Bulldogs of the Week

PERKINSTON — Duran Parish and Katelyn Brinkley have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Jan. 19-25. 

Parish, a sophomore guard from Biloxi, had a double-double on the way to averaging 21.5 points, 8.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds for Gulf Coast. In an 86-82 win over Hinds, he had 20 points, 10 assists and five steals. Parish also had 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 73-72 loss at Southwest Mississippi.

Brinkley, a sophomore center from Ridgeland, put together another fantastic week as Gulf Coast went 2-0 again. She had a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double as she matched Hinds' scoring by herself in a 91-25 win. Brinkley also had 14 points and seven rebounds in a 70-58 win at Southwest Mississippi.
