Bulldogs blow out Rams 101-64
PERKINSTON — Five Mississippi Gulf Coast players scored in double figures Wednesday night, and the Bulldogs won for the eighth straight time in a 101-64 victory over the University of Mobile JV.
The Bulldogs have won all five times at Dantzler Arena.
"I probably sound like a broken record, but again, we had a lot of balance on both ends," Gulf Coast coach Owen Miller said. "We had a couple of guys out with injuries, minor stuff. We moved the ball. We had 29 assists, which I always like to see. Of course, there were things we needed to work on, but I think we took another step forward."
Duran Parish (So., Biloxi/Biloxi), who leads MACCC players in non-conference scoring, had another 28 and made it a double-double with 11 rebounds. He missed a triple-double by a single assist. Maddox Noblitt (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) had 14 points, and Avan Wilson (So., Bay St. Louis/Bay) added 13.
Kelinee Stone (Fr., Baton Rouge, La./Woodlawn) and King George (Fr., Olive Branch/Olive Branch) had 10 each. Cledarius Ross (Fr., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) had seven assists to go along with his seven points.
The Bulldogs broke the century mark for the fourth straight game and sixth time this season. They scored the first 15 points of the game and built a 44-point lead in the second half.
Gulf Coast is right back in action Thursday with another game at Perk. The Bulldogs host Delgado with tipoff set for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.
