UPDATE: Tournament moves to Magee on Monday

PERKINSTON — The 2019 MACJC Softball Tournament has been moved to the Magee Sportsplex on Monday, and it will be abbreviated because of the heavy rains that forced the total or near-total postponement of four days of play.

No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast will play No. 10 Itawamba at 2:30 p.m. in a winners' bracket game. The winner will advance to play in the MACJC Championship game at 7:30.

The tournament has been modified so the winner of the winners' bracket will be the state champion, and third place will be determined by the winner of the losers' bracket.

Games will be played on two fields at the sportsplex.

Game 2: Itawamba 9, Southwest 1 (5 innings)

Game 3: Pearl River 8, Jones 2

Game 4: Northeast 10, East Central 8

Thursday

Game 5: Copiah-Lincoln 8, Southwest 3, end 6th inning

Event moves to Magee Sportsplex

Monday

Game 5 conclusion: Copiah-Lincoln vs. Southwest, noon

Game 6: Jones vs. East Central, noon

Game 7: Gulf Coast vs. Itawamba, 2:30 p.m.

Game 8: Pearl River vs. Northeast, 2:30 p.m.

Game 9: Game 8 loser vs. Game 5 winner, 5 p.m.

Game 10: Game 7 loser vs. Game 6 winner, 5 p.m.

MACJC Championship Game: Game 7 winner vs. Game 8 winner, 7:30 p.m.

Third-Place Game: Game 9 winner vs. Game 10 winner, 7:30 p.m.
