Conley snags 3rd MACCC Keeper of the Week

PERKINSTON — Laurel Conley continues to solidify her claim as one of the top keepers in the MACCC. She was named conference Keeper of the Week for the third time after posting a pair of victories.

Conference sports information directors voted on the award.

The sophomore from Ocean Springs had 13 saves in a 2-0 week for No. 5 Gulf Coast. She had six in a 6-1 win over Itawamba and another seven in a 2-1 win over Meridian in the NJCAA Gulf South District quarterfinal.

Conley is one of three Bulldogs to have won weekly conference awards this season. Forward Linda Mustered won Player of the Week last week, and Kaylee Tardo also won Keeper of the Week.

Conley is now eligible for this week's NJCAA award.
