MGCCC ranked No. 17 in first regular-season NJCAA poll
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast is ranked 17th in the first regular-season NJCAA poll, extending a streak of 143 weeks in the poll.
The Bulldogs (0-1) lost the season-opener at Itawamba 23-12 and return to action Thursday when No. 12 East Mississippi (0-1) visits newly renovated A.L. May Memorial Stadium.
There are four other MACJC teams in the top 20: No. 4 Copiah-Lincoln, No. 6 Northwest Mississippi, No. 11 Itawamba and No. 15 Jones County.
