MGCCC’s Adkison in sixth at MACJC event
Mississippi Gulf Coast is in sixth place after the first round of the seventh MACJC event at Meridian on Monday.
The Bulldogs' Wyatt Adkison shot a 1-over and is tied for sixth. Grant Motter, playing as an individual, is another shot back tied for 10th at Briarwood Country Club.
Copiah-Lincoln leads the field after an even-par 288. Meridian is seven shots back in second. Gulf Coast is at 22 over.
Coach Tommy Snell kept several of his players who will participate in the state championship starting Saturday, trying to spread out the missed classroom time across his team.
