Adkison, Motter make All-Tournament Team
Mississippi Gulf Coast's Wyatt Adkison and Grant Motter made the All-Tournament Team at MACJC Event No. 7, which concluded Tuesday at Briarwood Country Club in Meridian.
They finished at 1-over 145, four shots behind Meridian's Grant Renegar.
Meridian and Copiah-Lincoln tied for the team title, shooting 8-over 584. Gulf Coast shaved five shots off its first-round score to move up one spot to fifth at 39-over 615.
Coach Tommy Snell kept several of his players who will participate in the state championship starting Saturday, trying to spread out the missed classroom time across his team.
The 36-hole MACJC Tournament will be played at Shiloh Ridge Golf Course in Corinth.
