Gulf Coast remains second in latest poll
PERKINSTON – Mississippi Gulf Coast remains in second place in the latest Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll.
The Bulldogs, who won the state championship last week, received one first-place vote and trails defending national champion South Mountain.
Gulf Coast has won eight straight Region 23 titles and will defend that crown starting Monday at Senatobia. The winner advances to the NJCAA Division II Tournament in Plymouth, Ind.
Two other MACJC teams are ranked in the poll. Meridian is down a spot in fourth, and Copiah-Lincoln up one spot to sixth.
