Bulldogs stay No. 1 in Bushnell Golfweek poll
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast retained its hold on the top spot in the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll today.
The Bulldogs have been ranked first in every poll this season. Gulf Coast has won two of the three MACJC fall events and finished second in the other. The Bulldogs were third in an event at Wallace State and second at the MGCCC Fall Invitational, finishing behind only Division I schools.
Coach Tommy Snell's team finished second at the NJCAA Division II National Championship last season, and have been third, third, fourth and second in the last four years. Colin Troxler, who is now playing at the University of Louisiana, won the individual national championship at that tournament.
