Battle for playoff seeding intensifies

Mississippi Gulf Coast heads to Booneville this weekend to take on a hot Northeast Mississippi team.

First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. The games will not be streamed.

The Bulldogs have a two-game cushion in the fight to qualify for the postseason, with the Tigers in the group fighting for one of the nine spots. Northeast has won six straight games.

  • MGCCC lost a pair of games at Jones on Wednesday, falling 7-6 and 6-3.
