Baseball playoff game postponed
MERIDIAN — Thursday's second game in the NJCAA Region 23 qualifying series between Mississippi Gulf Coast and No. 16 Meridian has been postponed because of severe weather.
The teams have set Saturday at 2 p.m. as the next time they'll try to play, but coaches and administrators will reevaluate things on Friday. Weather forecasts look sketchy through the weekend.
The Bulldogs won the opening game in the best-of-three series Thursday night. The winner advances to the region tournament next week in Fulton.
