Vines wins MACCC Pitcher of the Week
PERKINSTON — James Vines dominated in his appearance last week for the Mississippi Gulf Coast baseball team, and he's picked up his first award of the season.
The sophomore from Clinton, La., was named the MACCC Pitcher of the Week after shutting down Clark State for four innings. Conference sports information directors voted on the honor.
Vines, who won the award once as a freshman, didn't allow a hit, shutting out the Eagles with seven strikeouts.
