Hall wins MACCC Pitcher of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Riley Hall threw a gem in his start last week, and he's been recognized as the MACCC Pitcher of the Week for his effort.
Conference sports information directors voted on the award, which was announced Tuesday.
Hall, a freshman right-hander from Mobile, Ala., beat No. 3 Jones 8-2 at Ken "Curly" Farris Field. He struck out 10 with only two walks, scattering seven hits. He's 5-1 this season for the Bulldogs.
Hall is now eligible for NJCAA honors, which will be announced Wednesday.
