Mink named MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Alexander Mink got moved back into a more defensive role in last week's game against Georgia Military.
He proved how vital he is to the No. 14 Bulldogs by scoring a hat trick, which helped him earn MACCC Player of the Week. The award is voted on by conference sports information directors.
The sophomore midfielder from Long Beach totaled four goals during Gulf Coast's 1-1 week. He earned NJCAA All-American honors as a freshman.
He's the second Bulldog to earn a conference weekly honor, joining Omarion Brown, who was named Keeper of the Week earlier in the season.
