Bulldogs come out strong at MACJC Tourney

PERKINSTON---After a long day of tennis, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College finds itself in good shape as the host team of the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament. 

The women's team won all six singles matches Thursday and is tied for first with Jones. Christa Owen, Kit Chowdhary, Tori Rose, Brittney Buker, Annissa Johnson, and Aliesha Barlow all scored singles victories. Tomorrow all six will play in the women's semi-finals after playing semi-final doubles matches in the morning.

The men picked up three win in singles play, with Travous Wilson, Bobby Vo, and Josh Johnson all advancing. Johnson teamed with Wilson to win a doubles match and also advance to the semi-finals.

The three-day event is being held at the brand new Gulf Coast Tennis Complex and at the Wynn Tennis Center in Wiggins.
