Second day struggles for MGCCC tennis at State/Regional Tourney
PERKINSTON---A tough day of MACJC Tournament tennis saw Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College drop several semi-final matches in day two of the three-day event. The men's team fell in singles and doubles play while the women's squad lost a hold of second place heading into tomorrow's finals.
Gulf Coast will have two places in Saturday's finals as Brittney Buker plays for the women's #4 singles title then teams with doubles partner Tori Rose to compete for the women's #2 doubles crown. Buker/Rose earned a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Meridian in Friday's semi-finals.
