Luckett MACJC Defensive Player of the Week
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College linebacker Cavellis Luckett is this week's MACJC Defensive Player of the Week. Luckett, a sophomore from McComb, had 14 tackles and a pass break up as the #1 ranked Bulldogs stopped #8 Hinds 41-34 Sept. 12. In three games, Luckett leads Gulf Coast with 32 tackles and also has made four tackles for losses and has a half sack. The Bulldogs take on MACJC South Division rival Jones at home Thursday at 7 p.m.
