MGCCC O-Line/D-Line Skills Camp back for 11th year
What's been called the best football inema/skills camp in the Southeast is back for another year this summer at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. From June 15-17 hundreds of high school football players will be learning blocking and tackling techniques from the game's best high school and college colleges.
"It's the best work camp out there," said John Perry, head football coach at Pearl High School. "If you're looking for something to make your team better, this is a must attend camp."
Even with out wearing pads, the up-tempo workouts are demanding, and sometimes grueling in the South Mississippi heat. Campers practice once on day one, three times on June 16, and finish up Jun. 17 with a skills contest.
"Taking our players to the Gulf Coast camp has been an integral part of our program for years," said Keith Braddock, head football coach at Northeast Jones high school. "We make this trip each year because we believe the Gulf Coast camp is the best one available to our athletes. This camp provides superior instruction along with a relentless work schedule."
"Our guys leave camp worn out and we feel like we get in six hard practices while we are there," said Brad Peterson, head football coach at Brandon High School. "Our guys get coached up hard by a lot of great coaches across the southeast."
