Williams is MACJC Offensive Player of the Week
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College wide receiver Dhaquille Williams is the MACJC Offensive Player of the Week after a big game against East Mississippi Nov. 2. Williams, a 6'3, 210 pound sophomore from LaPlace, LA, caught 11 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown as the #9 Bulldogs fell 45-28 to the #2 Lions in the MACJC Semi-Finals. The 2012 NJCAA All-American caught 51 passes for 733 yards and 9 TD'S in 9 games this season. In his career at Gulf Coast, Williams caught 122 passes for 2,028 yards and 26 touchdowns. The University of Auburn commitment joins teammates linebacker Cavellis Luckett, linebacker Trey Wafford, defensive back Justin Evans, and kicker Tristan Reynolds as MACJC Player of the Week honorees.
The Bulldogs are 8-2 and went to the MACJC Playoffs for the seventh straight season.
Williams caught 26 TD passes in two seasons at MGCCC.
