Bulldog Blitz back for 7th season in 2013

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College continues to lead the way in media exposure after "Bulldog Blitz" earned a Grand Award and a fourth straight first place award for Best Television Program from the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM).

For the seventh straight year, "Bulldog Blitz" will air every week during football season and through the playoffs on WLOX-TV and at www.mgcccbulldogs.com.

The 30 minute show, featuring Gulf Coast head football coach Steve Campbell and hosted by Gulf Coast sports information director Bill Snyder, is set to air at 11:05 p.m. this fall every Friday Night during football season on WLOX.

Also in 2013, Gulf Coast plans to video stream most if not all of the Bulldogs' nine regular season football games in addition to any post-season action at www.mgcccbulldogs.com. Nine games were streamed in 2012 with web viewership reaching across the Nation and as far away as Vietnam, Puerto Rico, and Italy. Bulldog fans can also listen to every football game on WOSM 103.1 FM. Gulf Coast also plans to video stream select basketball and baseball games in the spring of 2014.

In addition to continuous athletic updates via Twitter (www.twitter.com/perksid) and the college's "BulldogLIVE" Facebook page, fans can also read abut Gulf Coast football in the Sun Herald via a weekly sports column from Bill Snyder.

Plans are also on the works for a revamped athletic website set to debut in late summer or early fall.
