Former Bulldog Brock shines in NFL action
Tramaine Brock used a nationally televised NFL game to showcase his talents as he intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown as his San Fransico Forty-Niners pounded Houston 34-3. Brock, a Long Beach native who played at Gulf Coast from 2007-08, picked off the first pass of the game by Texans quarterback Matt Scaub and took it 18 yards for touchdown. Brock later intercepted another Scahub pass which set up a Forty-Niner scoring drive.
Brock is in his fourth season with San Francisco and has seen more playing time in 2013 at defensive back since an injury to Nnamdi Asomugha. He and fellow former MGCCC Bulldog Terrence Cody faced against each other in last year's Super Bowl in New Orleans. Brock and Cody are two of six former Gulf Coast Bulldogs currently playing in the NFL.
