MGCCC moves to No. 2 in national golf poll
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's golf team moved up to second in the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll released Friday.
The Bulldogs received one first-place vote from the four voters. Tyler got two top nods from the other voters to move to the top of the rankings.
Defending national champion South Mountain, which was atop the last poll, fell to third.
Two other MACJC schools are in the top 10. Copiah-Lincoln is fourth, and Meridian is eighth.
Fifth-place Murray State (Okla.) received the other first-place vote.
Gulf Coast returns to action in the spring when the Bulldogs play in the Elizabeth Kling Memorial on Feb. 18-19 in Fairhope, Ala.
