Troxler picks up Ping All-American
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Colin Troxler has been named to the NJCAA Division II Ping All-American Team, and Logan Leary and Jackson Wedgeworth joined him on the Ping All-Region Team.
Troxler, a sophomore from Luling, La., won the Carey Collegiate Classic against a field that included four-year schools. He also finished four other top-five finishes this year, giving him eight for his career.
Leary, a freshman from Dutchtown, La., won the first MACJC event of the year and had four top-five finishes.
Wedgeworth, a freshman from West Jones, had three top-five finishes and finished second at the first MACJC event of the year.
Gulf Coast is participating in the NJCAA Division II Golf Tournament this week in Mesa, Ariz. The Bulldogs have finished in the top four the last three years.
