MGCCC picks up GCAA academic award
PERKINSTON — The national runner-up Mississippi Gulf Coast added another academic award to its haul for 2016-17, picking up Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team honors.
The Bulldogs were one of only three NJCAA Division II teams to earn the award, given to teams with a 3.00 GPA or better.
Gulf Coast won similar honors from the NJCAA earlier this month. Wyatt Adkison (So., East Central/Hurley) had a 4.0 GPA to earn a place on the NJCAA All-Academic First Team.
